This type of gaming should NOT be protected by our freedom of speech. While the right to say and think what we want is a real privilege not available to much of the world, the misuse and abuse of this great freedom to justify the normalization of behaviors such as rape and torture is appalling!
Imagine a game in which you'd win if you tortured a person in inhumane and terrible ways to get information out of them. The longer you kept them alive and tortured them, the more points you'd get. This would change your perception on human rights and make the inhumane act of torture acceptable.
This game does the same!. It normalizes behavior that is wrong, inhumane and illegal. It changes the emotional reaction a potential predator may have from shame and fear of being caught to one that comes with advancing in a game.
There is NOTHING okay or funny about stalking a teenage girl, cornering her, and raping her repeatedly! The fact that someone sat for hours in an office somewhere to create this game is deeply disturbing.
